Hi,
Horses have 7 Cervical vertebra.
It depends on laminectomy where - cervical, thoracic or lumabr and for what indication- degenerative or tumor. Is it with discectomy or without. Is it with fusion or without?
Ordinary decompressive laminectomy should cost around 40,000 rupees.
i have a friend who is suffering from leg pain on his *calfs, arm pain. lethargy. what might he be suffering from? his l pain has kept him from work at times
he is and isn't lessening the symptom
Low B12 can cause extremity pain. Have him first go to a doctor to check, but he will probably just need to take a B-complex or have monthly B12 shots.
What is his B12 level?
Whats the best kind for dealing with the pain after you put on braces?
Please make it so where I can get it at a local drug store.
take an advil whatever usually works for you. and get some ambusal (sp?)-this will numb the gums and inside your cheeks and lips (where the braces brush against and cause raw skin)
also, you can get clear wax in the dental section to place on the braces to stop them from rubbing.
I have to do my lifeguard renewal exam at the end of the week, and am filling in loads of revision sheets at the mo, but coz all the rules (like CPR) have changed since 2 yrs ago I can't remember some of the stuff!
What do you do if you have a (ALL SPINAL INJURY)
Child choking conscious and unconscious
Baby choking conscious and unconscious
Adult choking conscious and unconscious?!
Please help, it will really be appreciated!
Breathing takes precedence over any injury including spinal injury.
If unconscious and breathing the victim must be put on to their side (lateral/recovery position). Taking care not to bend or twist the spine and neck. Have someone assist you to roll the victim into lateral/recovery position, with you supporting the head and neck, with a lateral head clamp. Turning the victim on your count not the person helping.
If the airways have become completely blocked, and the victim is unconscious, you will need to commence CPR immediately. Because they are in respiratory arrest.
As for a conscious victim who is strapped to a spinal board, you will need to be keep them calm, encourage them to cough. It has been some time since I did my last Lifeguard qualifications update, so this may part have changed.
Other wise treat as normal chocking victim.
I did try to find some links for you, but could only find a few which may or may not help.
Good luck with you exam

It's been 3 months that I have a slight pain on both sides of the head 3 inches above my ears, and top part of the head is very sensitive. The pain is manageable, seems like a nerve pain, and not inside my head. Been going to neurologist, ENT, chiro and internist, and they are baffled. There isn't a day that I don't feel any pain. I've been searching the website for clues about this symptoms, but no luck. Please help! I'm 32yo male and active in sports.
There are sutures in the skull which have membranes lining the joints..Whenever there is tenderness, it indicates there is torsion of the skull.. you can verify this just by pressing at the base of the skull and see how tender it is on one side. Why your chiropractor was unable to make this determination suggests he was asleep in class.. find another one but, call and discuss the problem on the phone and see if they understand what the problem is.
In order to have this problem, you would necessarily need to have some postural discrepancy evident. This problem progressed would eventually involve the jaw joint. Is common in TMJ.
I am 14. About a year ago I found out that I had 1 bulging disk and about two weeks ago I found out that I had another. Since I am so young, my disks are going to cause me a lot of pain (more than already has). My options are to deal with the pain for the rest of my life, have a surgery that costs a lot of money, or go to physical therapy which would mean that it would save me some time but I would have to still have surgery. My dad said to deal with the pain. In the last week the pain has gotten worse. The more active I am the more it hurts and but the more lazy I am, the worse it hurts. I was wondering of anyone knows any stretches I could do to help my back! Thanks

If you are 14 and live in the U.S. there are plenty of ways to have the surgery without putting your parents in the poor house. You really want to get it fixed now. Once you get older, like me, it's a lot worse. I've been in pain for 10 years even after surgery.
You or your parents should look up any medical schools or medical centers in your area. There are alway spine clinics that you pay based on what you can.
Good luck and here are a few links you should have your parents look at.

And beware of the chiropractor advise. One is partly responsible for me being disabled.
PS: Tell Dad, that as a Dad I think him saying deal with the pain is next to child neglect. The law thinks so too.
I've been a physio for 13 years and would like to train as a Chiropractor, but not have to do the whole 4 year full time course.
Any options?
ahhh my mother would kill you!! she's always given me the impression that chiropractors are physios arch enemies!!
haha i just asked her there…she said some places offer a one-year "manips course" that would get you the qualification. hope that helps!
I understand they're not in league with a physician, but are they almost the same as a Physical Therapist, but with Dr. added to their titles?
Tey make a lot more than a PT where i live- say at least 200k
