What type of doctor does surgery on a ruptured disc?
An othapedic surgeon can tell if you really need surgery for a ruptured disk. They will usually recommend that you attend physical thearapy first, as surgery is a last resort these days.

I have a herniated disc in the C4/C5 region and a bulging disc below it. I have tried physical therapy, acupuncture, ice packs, heat packs - but nothing seems to relieve the pain. Any suggestions?
Rest is actually the worst thing you can do for this condition….
