Im 18 almost 19 and I’ve had a herniated disc for almost 3 years now. It’s really starting to bother me…any suggestions?

Is the Disc presses onto the Nerves only when there's pressure to it or??
Herniated disc/s pressing onto sciatic nerves wouldn't cause just toe twitching.

I have a herniated disc at L5/S1 and one doctor is suggesting a spinal injection. They will inject a gel-like material into the L5/S1 area and spread out the spine so the disc no longer presses on the nerves. I am looking to get this done at Henry Ford Hospital
