any ideas for chronic back pain without pain meds?

January 31st, 2009

I have a pinched nerve in my lower back, any tips in how to control the pain without pain meds?

Everyone has an idea but, to My knowledge there is no real solution that's permanent. You can go for acupuncture but, that's only temporary at best. Anything else is the same.
I have been on pain control for over fourteen years for severe osteo arthritis in the degenerative stages. My bones are literally being eaten away by this disease.
I have never been without pain, one day would be wonderful, I've been to them all, tried them all. They make a lot of promises but?

I keep busy all day, it's the nights when you want to relax, when you want to take walks with the one you love but, can't.
I would do anything to be off drugs but, there's nothing available to control the severe pain I get.
I have about ten doctors now, they're always conferring, right now they recently told me that's it. there's nothing more they can do.
So, with pain management, you can live a beneficial lifestyle, just a little slower.

Heat pads; ice packs; long, hot showers; Bengue or any of the equivalent topical rubs. Mild exercise when permitted.
